Support Included?
Support is included with all local Backup Disaster Recovery and cloud Disaster Recovery solutions. IT4Canada engineers are available to assist with installation and management of your backup server and backup jobs. If required Arcserve engineers will assist to ensure BDR operations run smoothly.
What is Jumpstart?
Basically, we courier you an external drive for the initial copy to our cloud. Using the Arcserve Jumpstart feature you simply export an encrypted copy of your backup data to the drive, place it in the return package and the courier will pick it up. We use the data to seed your cloud storage which makes the initial replication much faster and ensures you are protected ASAP.
Are there additional costs?
Additional storage is available if long term archival or great capacity is needed. Also additional fees would apply if you wish to purchase additional cloud virtual standby.
How do I get my data back?
At any time you can request of copy of your data which will be exported to an external drive and couriered the same day. This also works great for Long Term file archival!
What is long term file archival?
Long term file archival may be a regulatory requirement for your business so exporting multiple years worth of encrypted backup data to disk vastly simplifies this process. Instead of only having a single point of time recovery, mounted with tape, slowly searched sequentially, accessed painfully..
Try storing your data on disk, in multiple locations for redundancy, securely encrypted and accessed through your browser. Quickly search daily backups going back years without every having to find a tape or ensure you have a drive that can read it.
Can I change Plans or cancel at any time?
You can change or cancel your plan at any time. However, if a copy of stored data is required it will be shipped on a Hard Drive for a nominal fee.
How does Global and Source-side deduplication help?
Global, source-side deduplication and WAN optimized replication ensures highly efficient use of backup storage and available WAN bandwidth. Replication is fast and your backups windows are minimized.
How secure is File Room?
Security features include,
Silent Data Corruption Protection, end-to-end checksums to “tag” data with strongly verifiable identifiers
HTTPS stand-alone processes running behind a firewall
Persistent and transient encryption key Organizational privacy mode
Are there additional costs?
Cloud services are delivered using predetermined packages. Normally this is sufficient and customers will not see any additional costs. If users require additional resources they can be easily purchased and added at any time. Additional services include additional mailboxes, hosted domains & File Room licenses. Please consult the service pricing for additional information.
Can I change Plans or cancel at any time?
Customers may end a contract at any time simply be notifying they wish to do so. There is no added cost associated to changing an account, adding or removing resources are included with support.
How can File Room protect my business?
File Server Enablement allows you to map a folder structure on a file server to a Team Share or a user account in the cloud. In addition to local paths, you can specify a network share, a UNC path, or a NAS device, as a source for File Server Enablement. This feature replaces the need for mapped drives (network drives), so that end users no longer need to be on-site or require the use of a VPN connection to access files and folders.
Once folders have been mapped a copy of your data is encrypted before being synced to your cloud storage providing an offsite backup for important material. End users can access, read and update this synced content through the web or through their preferred device. By providing anytime, anywhere access to business assets, File Server Enablement can increase employee and organizational productivity while providing data protection.

What is a PBX?
PBX stands for Private Branch Exchange which is a private telephone system used by a company so users can share telephone numbers and make outbound calls. Features include zero cost adding of extensions, Call Conference Rooms, Interactive Voice Response(Digital Receptionist ), Voicemail & Voicemail to Email, Company Directory, Soft Phone Support(make calls from computer or softphone), Music on Hold etc.
How do I access my PBX?
PBX access is gained using your browser. https://yourpbx and the URL is supplied at the time it is commissioned. Aside from secure https access your IP address must be whitelisted for access. Users are are requested to email their IP address to voicesupport@it4canada.com along with the company and access code. IPs are whitelisted within 30 mins, however users can request dynamic IP registration to ensure they are always able to connect.
Are there additional costs?
The only additonal costs associated to your account would be long distance outside the user agreement, or if more services were required, like extra phone lines, or telephone numbers. The PBX is a fully featured phone system with all detailed services available at no extra cost.
Support Included?
PBX control panel access is included so users may self manage and add or remove devices, numbers, conference rooms etc. If any assistance is required our staff are availble to perform the PBX setup and assist with your telephone configurations. Normally, there is no cost for configuration changes or setup of the PBX however if custom code changes are required, this is a service billed hourly.
What about Refunds?
PBX plans are monthly contracts which can be canceled at anytime so you only pay for the services you consume. Each month or portion of is billed as an entire month. Users paying yearly to get the month discount will be refunded any amounts after the month they cancel and will not include the free month.
Can I change Plans or cancel at any time?
Customers may add or subtract services or cancel at any time with no penalty. However, billing cycles are monthly and not prorated so any removal of services will not be refunded for part of a month. If users pay yearly for the discounts, any further the following month after cancellation and any subsequent months would be refunded fully.
